Precision tag poles may not be the cheapest on the market however they are the most advanced and well constructed tag pole you will find anywhere. Yes there are plenty of cheap tag poles around however they all suffer from the same problems, they are simply too heavy and too soft. Precision Rods has a world wide reputation for not just quality but ground breaking designs and concepts. Our tag poles fit that description to a tee. Unlike most other tag poles on the market, our poles are designed and made right here in Australia. It has taken us over 3-years to perfect our tag poles with the end result being the lightest and stiffest tag pole on the market today. Precision tag poles are made from 100% high strength carbon fibre which gives us a pole that is incredibly light and super stiff. Over the years we have found that a total length of 13’6” to be the most user friendly for both large and small boats.

Designing a tag pole to be super light isn’t all that difficult but to achieve a super stiff tag pole as well is quite something else. Our tag poles are so light and stiff that you can hold one of these tag poles horizontal with one arm at its full length of 13’6” with ease. So what does all this mean for you the tag man? A super stiff and super light tag pole means you can better aim and tag the fish with out fighting weight and flex at the same time? The tip section of the tag pole is designed in such a way that it greatly reduces water drag enabling you to chase your fish with the tag pole in the water with out flexing.

This gives you much better accuracy in your tag shots and in a tournament situation this can be the difference between first and second place. Each pole comes with foam flotation, our own “super matrix grips” and a 316 stainless steel billfish tag applicator which is machined in house using solid 316 stainless steel bar stock. The tip section on all our tag poles is white so you can better see the tip above and below the water. The 2- piece join utilises a taper lock spigot join to keep the tag pole light and user friendly and should you need to take the pole apart in a hurry then its very quick and easy. The other key benefit to our two-piece tag poles is should you need to use the tip section on its own it’s at a good usable length not like others that are simply too short to use. We have used all our 24 years of gamefishing and tackle design experiance in this tag pole, the proof is in the seeing.
